Basing a conclusion on the customers’ reactions to the new Sharp AQUOS BD-HP22U 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player system is extremely hard to do, as their reviews are nowhere near consistent. One the one hand, there are people suggesting that no home entertainment center should be without one! Its price and its functionality has the ability to suit everybody’s needs, says these optimists. However, on the other side of the coin, there are people suggesting that the new Sharp player works brilliantly, but the Aquos function is slightly touchy and must have the most up to date Sharp television as its base of operation. That said, these reviews gave us more than enough motivation to purchase this new product and test it out on our own.
What we found was slightly more frustrating. The new Sharp AQUOS BD-HP22U 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player does, in fact, possess a lot of promising technology, and the firmware upgrading application is easily accessible, but when it comes to Aquos or the amount of needed Firmware updating before the system is brought “up to code,” we doubt that this particular system is going to be the best purchase for everyone to undertake. We do, however, recommend that those who have the most up to date television sets purchase this product immediately, as its high Definition yield is way above the normal parameters of the previous generation.
